Servicing NYC and Long Island

The 38th Street group home has begun offering dog play, led by medical coordinator Ruchy Herman. Once or twice a week, the individuals get to play with, walk, feed, and bathe the dogs.
This hands-on experience teaches responsibility, promotes exercise, and improves coordination. Playing fetch and tug-of-war is not only fun, it also builds turn-taking skills and fine motor skills.
There are also significant emotional benefits: animal interaction improves mood and offers companionship.
