Earn a living while you spend your days giving

Givers — and people with big hearts — always find ways to help others. But when your job is supporting people, and your workplace is a powerhouse of kindness, that ability to give is elevated to new levels.

There’s Mrs. Chava Laufer who came in as a service coordinator and was promoted to regional manager. Mr. Naftali Tessler who started off in maintenance and is now chief of staff. Mr. Moshe Grosman whose experience as a DSP positioned him perfectly to become a group home medical director and then its manager. These promotions are just a few of dozens that happen regularly at Hamaspik.

Anecdotes shared in The Loop,
Hamaspik of King's County's
staff magazine
I recently enrolled in a master's program and I'm transitioning out of my position to have more time to study. Although this leaves Chava Laufer, Five Towns Regional Manager, with one less coordinator, she went out of her way to help me find a fieldwork position. I'm touched that my manager is still looking out for me, even as I move on to a different stage!

It was a hard time — but the compassion I felt made it easier. My husband was in the hospital for a surgery. My supervisor, Intake Director Dini Freund, was an amazing source of support. She arranged for me to able to work from home during that time, and also sent a gorgeous meat platter for Shabbos on behalf of herself and the whole department. Their compassion, warm wishes, and checking in to see how things were going, made a difficult time so much more bearable.

Miri Gantz

Benefits Coordinator
Recently, I was onboarding a new employee. He submitted a ticket for the items he needed to get to work — phone line, headset, and so on. I called Shraga Leitner from IT, asking if the ticket could be expedited. He was off — site but promised to do it as soon as he returned. True to his word, in a very short time the employee had everything he needed - and the knowledge that he is more than just a ticket; he is part of a team that truly cares.
