Servicing NYC and Long Island
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide OPWDD services such as Respite, ComHab, and Vocational Services.
To qualify for this service, an individual must be found eligible through the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). This eligibility determination requires documentation of a developmental disability that began before age 22, substantial functional limitations, and residency in New York State.
Once OPWDD eligibility is established, the individual must enroll in the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver (if not already enrolled) and be approved for the specific services requested, such as Respite or Community Habilitation.
Once those steps are completed, our recruitment team networks extensively, using multiple outreach methods and exclusive software, to connect you with qualified, vetted, and well-matched DSPs who can support your family’s goals.
