Servicing NYC and Long Island
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) works directly with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. DSPs support individuals in building daily living skills, increasing independence, and working toward personal goals.
DSPs serve as providers of OPWDD services, such as Respite Care, ComHab, and Vocational Services, and work in a variety of settings – including the individual's home, in the community, or in a certified residential or group home.
DSPs are warm, caring individuals who receive specialized training to provide safe, person-centered support. They are dedicated to offering compassionate assistance while empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Their support benefits not only the individual receiving services, but their families as well, by strengthening and expanding their support network.
