Hamaspik’s Multi-Media Campaign Brings Clarity to Parents

The Hamaspik intake team understands the overwhelm and exhaustion parents often bring to their first call. They meet parents who are burdened with uncertainty. “I’m so confused,” they often say. “I have no idea where to begin, or what my options are.”

OPWDD services can be a lifeline for families. Yet navigating the process, shifting government requirements, and seemingly endless paperwork can feel overwhelming for parents who are already stretched thin.

To address this need, Hamaspik established a dedicated services specialist department focused solely on helping parents gain clarity – understanding their options, how each service can help, and what each one involves. From there, the intake team steps in, guiding parents through the process and transforming an intimidating system into a manageable, supported journey.

To ensure families know they can turn to Hamaspik for clear, compassionate guidance on service eligibility, a multi-media campaign was recently launched across social media and print platforms, inviting parents to make that first call.

The message was simple and empowering: help is available, and clarity is possible. Just reach out so we can clear the fog – and you can see what’s possible.

The campaign reached thousands of families and resulted in a significant influx of calls for information. Parents responded with gratitude: “The process sounded so confusing, I finally understand it now,” and happy surprise, “I didn’t know I was eligible for all of this!”
