Chanukah Highlights at Hamaspik

Chanukah was celebrated with enthusiasm and warmth in Hamaspik’s group homes, day hab, and after school program.

Some highlights included the “Eight nights, eight lights” celebrations in the South 9th Street Group Home. The young ladies in the residence were each assigned one night of Chanukah for which they chose the color and theme for the party. They each hosted their party with such pride and joy.

The 49th Street group home also celebrated each night, with activities like vegetable donut designing, airbrushing and face painting, an in-house Build-A-Bear activity, a trip to a concert and so much more.

The 61st Street group home enjoyed a beautiful Zos Chanukah event at Ambiance Hall, with an elegant dinner and heartfelt words shared by Mr. Cheskel Fisher, director of residential services.

Music entertainment by Yossi Eidlis was accompanied by lively singing from the individuals who enjoyed the event immensely.  

Chanukah at Hamaspik was a true celebration of light, creativity, and community, leaving lasting memories and a feeling of warmth long after the candles went out.
