Hamaspik proudly sponsored the recent book launch of Every Body Is: Nurturing Self-Acceptance through Torah Values — a new children’s book that champions self-acceptance and inclusion.
The event took place at American Dream Mall, and featured authors Alyssa Goldwater and Chanie Kamman, along with guest speakers Rachel Tuchman LMHC, a well-known voice in the world of wellness and mental health.
The book features children with a range of differences, from diagnoses like Down syndrome, dwarfism, and alopecia to the use of supports like a wheelchair and braces. Author Alyssa Goldwater shared, “Every man, woman, boy, and girl should know just how special, unique, lovable, and made-just-right they are — regardless of size, differences, or special abilities.”
Among those in attendance were Miss Henny Lang, program manager of Fit with Friends, our after-school program for girls and women, and seven young women from the program, who were thrilled to meet the authors and receive personally signed copies of the book.
Through its sponsorship, Hamaspik helped bring that message to life — spreading awareness, sparking conversations, and reaffirming our mission: helping people with disabilities live fully and feel deeply valued.
“It was inspiring to see our Fit with Friends participants so warmly welcomed and represented,” said Miss Lang. “This event was about more than a book — it was a celebration of identity, belonging, and inner worth.”
