A mother kneeling by the front door to comfort her young son, his backpack and shoes on the floor beside them

Some kids dread the first day of school
(and their parents do, too).

You're worried because you know the start of the school year can be tough.

Your child walks in after the first day back and falls apart. The backpack hits the floor, the shoes are thrown across the room, and "please put your things away," turns into twenty minutes of tears.

Sound familiar?

Your child isn't being difficult on purpose, and you did nothing wrong. There's a reason for these reactions and they're especially common in kids with ADHD, anxiety, ASD, or developmental delays.

When you understand what's actually going on, you can do something about it and start building a formula for success.

That's what you'll learn in Back to School Without the Battle.

What we'll cover

An hour that replaces guesswork with a plan

  • What's really behind the meltdowns and the lost homework, and the signal your child can't put into words
  • The brain skills running the show, and why a disability can make those skills harder to develop
  • Why coming home can be the hardest part of your child's day
  • The launch pad that ends the daily hunt for shoes, folders, and permission slips
  • The two thinking skills that take the hardest hit whenever things change
  • How to improve your child's first day of school in just a few minutes the night before
  • The four-part formula that builds greater independence over time

Plus, you'll get even more clarity in the live Q&A at the end of the class.

You'll leave knowing exactly what to try first, with a plan you can use that very night.

Chana has 7+ years of experience providing support services to hundreds of students across grades 1–8. In her private practice she works with parents on executive-function coaching — translating brain science into actions parents can take at home. She also provides parent advocacy and IEP advocacy services for families across a range of schools and communities.

Her teaching is based on her experience leading the support division of schools, as well as raising her own children with learning differences. She will share methods that she uses at her own kitchen table daily, and practical strategies parents can use right away.
